It is our mission to advocate for medical cannabis patients and to assist prospective applicants in navigating the registration process in their respective states. We offer our services to residents of multiple states applying for medical marijuana programs, including Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania has authorized the use of telemedicine to certify patients for medical marijuana cards. At the Sanctuary, our staff members are available to schedule a virtual appointment for you with one of our doctors. You do not need to have a prior doctor's evaluation to meet with our licensed physicians.

During your appointment, your doctor will evaluate your condition and determine if you meet the state’s requirements for medical marijuana use. If your physician believes you would benefit from marijuana use, they will submit a certificate to the Pennsylvania DOH as soon as possible. Once your information is in the system, you can continue the application process on the DOH website.

Simply call us at (717) 925-0646 to arrange a virtual meeting with a physician.

The first thing that you will need to do to receive a Pennsylvania cannabis card is to register online. To complete your registration, you will need to provide your driver's license or ID card as proof of Pennsylvania residency. Make sure that this document lists your correct address. Once you complete your patient profile, the system will give you an ID number that your doctor will need to upload your certification. Save this ID number and bring it with you to your appointment.

After you complete your registration, you will attend your evaluation at the Sanctuary. Pennsylvania only allows patients with serious medical conditions to obtain a cannabis card, so your doctor will need to verify your condition. Only physicians certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Health may evaluate a patient's condition.
Your doctor will examine you for about 10 to 15 minutes. They will evaluate your qualifying condition and ask questions about your medical history. If your doctor believes you qualify for a medical marijuana card, they will issue your certification at your appointment.

Complete your registration on the PA DOH website.

After your doctor certifies you for medical marijuana, they will update your patient record on the Pennsylvania Department of Health's database. The DOH will then send you an email with follow-up instructions on how to complete your registration. You will then need to log back into the patient system and pay a $50 registration fee. The DOH will then mail your medical marijuana card to the address listed on the driver's license or ID card you used to register.
