Since 2019, The Sanctuary Wellness Institute telehealth has supported patients by providing professional, compliant guidance through the Ohio medical marijuana evaluation process, in accordance with state law.

After your Ohio-licensed physician submits your recommendation, you must complete your patient registration in the Ohio Medical Marijuana Patient & Caregiver Registry. Follow the steps below:

In Ohio, a registered caregiver may obtain and possess medical marijuana on behalf of a registered patient and assist the patient with its use or administration. Caregivers generally must be Ohio residents and at least 21 years old. However, a parent who is at least 18 years old may serve as the caregiver for their minor child if they otherwise meet Ohio's caregiver requirements. A registered caregiver generally may serve no more than two registered patients, although the Ohio Division of Cannabis Control may approve certain exceptions.
