How to get your Ohiomedical marijuana card
To begin your Ohio medical marijuana card process, call the Sanctuary at (484) 346-5140 to arrange a meeting with a certified Ohio marijuana doctor. Our team will explain the process to you step-by-step and answer any questions you may have prior to your visit.
The Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program (OMMCP) requires that you establish and maintain a bona fide relationship with your cannabis doctor prior to applying for the program. This means you will have to see your physician in-person at least once per year.
After your medical marijuana doctor confirms you have a qualifying condition, they will enter you into the OMMCP Patient Registry. You will then need to complete your application, pay a $50 fee, and wait for your application to process.
After you receive your medical marijuana card, you are eligible to purchase cannabis at any approved Ohio dispensary. Keep in mind that you may need to renew your prescription -- your Ohio marijuana doctor can recommend up to a 90-day supply with three refills.
Medical marijuana has been legal in Ohio since September 2016, thanks to House Bill 523. HB 523 established the Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program, which provides access to medical cannabis for patients who have a qualifying condition. The program encountered issues regarding marijuana shortages and retail location delays, but now provides access to medical marijuana for patients across the state.Call (484) 346-5140 with any questions and to schedule your evaluation
