It is our mission to advocate for medical cannabis patients and to assist prospective applicants in navigating the registration process in their respective states. We offer our services to residents of multiple states applying for medical marijuana programs, including Arkansas.
Arkansas has authorized the use of telemedicine to certify patients for medical marijuana cards. At the Sanctuary, our staff members are available to schedule a virtual appointment for you with one of our doctors. You do not need to have a prior doctor's evaluation to meet with our licensed physicians.
During your appointment, your doctor will evaluate your condition and determine if you meet the state’s requirements for medical marijuana use. If your physician believes you would benefit from marijuana use, they will submit a certificate to the Pennsylvania DOH as soon as possible. Once your information is in the system, you can continue the application process on the DOH website.
Simply call us at (479) 319-2673 to arrange a virtual meeting with a physician.
How to get your Arkansas medical Cannabis card
Our friendly staff will book your appointment and explain the steps you need to take to obtain an Arkansas medical marijuana card.
At your appointment, your doctor will evaluate your condition and complete the Medical Marijuana Physician Written Certification from the Arkansas Department of Health.
You will need to submit your physician certification, an Arkansas state ID or driver’s license, and a $50 fee. It may take between 10 to 14 days to process your application.
Once the application is approved, you will receive your medical marijuana card in the mail. With your card, you can purchase cannabis products from one of 33 dispensaries throughout Arkansas. You will need to bring your medical marijuana card and your driver’s license or other valid state ID with you.
Historically, Arkansas marijuana laws have been harsh. Possession of small amounts of marijuana is a misdemeanor crime, carrying a fine of up to $2,500 and up to one year in prison. However, medical cannabis is legal in Arkansas today, and patients with qualifying conditions can apply for a marijuana card through the Arkansas Department of Health.
The Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment (Issue 6) was passed on November 18, 2016 with 53% of the vote. Under this law, a patient can register for a marijuana card with the certification of a doctor and purchase cannabis from a licensed dispensary. Qualifying patients may purchase up to 2.5 ounces of medical cannabis from a dispensary every 14 days.
The medical marijuana application process in Arkansas is simple, but finding the right physician to certify your condition can be a challenge. The Sanctuary Wellness Institute can connect you with a certified cannabis doctor who can evaluate your condition.
