With the Sanctuary’s help, you will need to visit your cannabis doctor and have them sign an Adult Patient Physician Recommendation Form within 30 days of your application. Submit an application to the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority

After meeting with your doctor, you will need to complete and submit an application to the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA). You will need a valid recommendation form, proof of Oklahoma residency, proof of identity, and a $100 fee.

Purchase your medical cannabis at a licensed Oklahoma dispensary

The OMMA should approve or deny your application within 14 days. After you receive your medical marijuana card, you can purchase medical cannabis at any licensed dispensary in the state. Hundreds of dispensaries operate throughout Oklahoma.

Qualifying Conditions

  • Oklahoma does not currently have a list of qualifying conditions for a medical cannabis card. SQ 788 states that physicians must recommend a patient for medical marijuana “according to the accepted standards a reasonable and prudent physician would follow for recommending or approving any medication.”
