Your driver's license ID number must be used to register with the state. When you make an appointment, the doctor will upload your ID number from the system, updating your records to reflect that you have been approved for medical marijuana treatment.
Next, you will need to receive certification for a medical marijuana card from a doctor who has been certified with the PA Department of Health. Your meeting will be brief, in which you will spend 10 to 15 minutes discussing your health concerns and any questions you might have regarding the use of medical marijuana. If your doctor decides that you qualify, they will give your certification that same day.
You must sign into the account you used to register and pay the fee to the PA Department of Health after a doctor has certified you. Your card will be mailed by the DOH to the address on your driver's license that you provided when you first registered.
